Once your manuscript has been accepted for publication, you will be asked to deliver to BGP Corp. your revised manuscript in print and electronic form.  Also send any associated computer files (documents,  images such as photographs maps, artwork ) that pertain to your manuscript.  Include a printed listing to clearly indicate either the chapters or parts of your manuscript for each corresponding file. Do not justify the lines of the printed version of your text and do not use end-of-line hyphenation. Be careful to distinguish the following characters, which may resemble each other in some typewritten material but can sometimes look quite different from one another when set in type: 1 (one), l (letter 'el'), I (capital i) and O (letter 'oh'), 0 (number zero).

All tables, figures, photographs, and maps should be removed from the text and grouped separately at the end of the manuscript. Be sure that they are clearly labeled, and insert a note (e.g., "Place Table 1 near here") in the text itself. When printed, a table or figure will normally be placed on the page closest to its first mention in the text.

All manuscripts published by BGP Corp. are subject to copyediting in accordance with style guidelines set out in their publishing procedures.  Depending upon the nature and extent of the required editorial changes, the copyeditor will consult you either during or immediately after completing the editing of the manuscript. Changed copy will normally be returned for your approval (sometimes with first proofs). The copyeditor will also send you a list of questions, comments, and suggestions resulting from this reading of the manuscript.

Substantive changes are not normally allowed after a revised manuscript has been approved for publication. There will not be the opportunity to rewrite your manuscript, at this production stage.  In extreme cases, such changes result in a very different manuscriptone that might not have received approval from the Editorial Committee if it had been submitted for publication. Demonstrable improvements will be looked upon more favourably the earlier they are made.

When you review the marked-up manuscript, you may, of course, restore the original reading of a text wherever the changes suggested by the copyeditor result in a distortion of meaning or inadvertent introduction of inconsistencies. Once you have satisfactorily responded to the questions raised by the copyeditor, page proofs will be prepared.

Please consult with the publisher if you have any questions regarding the submission of your manuscript.  Be prepared with an author photo, list of possible reviewers, book annotation; preface; acknowledgements, dedication, table of contents.

Note:  As a Canadian publisher, BGP Corp. makes publications available in Canada and is either authorized to reproduce the content or has control over the content of the titles it produces.   Contracts are written that clarify your rights as an author and publisher rights as a publisher.  Many new authors are not clear on a publisher's role in the publishing process.  A publisher is not a printer nor solely the vehicle to get your book printed.
