About the Book
Standards of Excellence: for students of life is a collection
of writings by a Canadian high-school teacher, Allan Wilson. This is simple
and straightforward advice, from someone who has faced many difficult life
challenges, including the death of a young teenager, the author's only
child, Josh. After the loss of the author's son, his perspective
on what really matters in life crystallized. This is an advice book with
writings structured to help young people. It is particularly directed
to high school students. The writings, like a kind and reasonable
parent, will motivate and inspire. Arm your children, from your youth to
your adult children; permit them to dream, to learn from their failures, and
to find strength in their journey of life.
